Anyone have any experience with the Glock model 20 I am considering buying one and have heard mixed reviews as far as reliability and longevity are concerned
It’s a Glock chipping! What could go wrong?!

Dropped a Gen. 3 model 20 10mm barrel and 10mm mag and now it’s a model 20! Probably the most versatile gun they make! The Gen 3 recoil rods require a little bushing that drops in the end of the slide. Gen 4 uses a captive multi spring system. .45 and 10mm both use the same weight spring.
I have the G20 and MOS 40 both run good,

never a problem with different types of ammo and accuracy is good. I have had mine 6 years.

and something like 80% of the cops carry the Glock because they are so dependable. There are still "experts" that bad mouth the Glock as a plastic piece of crap. Pay no attention to them. More than likely they have never held one or shot one. The Glock has no character or class but they work every time, all the time.

I really like my Glock 20, I shoot the Sig Sauer 180gr FMJ load to practice and then the Sig 180gr HP when I keep it next to the bed. I'm not a huge Glock fan but they are what they are, I paid $375 for mine and it was like new so I couldn't go wrong with it. I'm a 1911 guy so it feels odd when I hold with the shape of the grip and that slide that looks 2 inches wide but I'm getting used to it, I put the Pachmayr wrap around grip deal on it and it feels a little better. I think its a Gen 2 model.
Not model 20, but Glock in general is excellent

I don't post here often, but I do have some input. My G20 Gen 4 had been the subject of much experimentation. In stock mode, it has never jammed once. Ever. I have two KKM barrels and they jave had a few jams, mainly with reloads. So I blame me for that. Also, the barrels required some fitting. My stock length KKM has been as solid as the Glock barrel once I got it properly fit. I haven't had time to properly fit my 6" KKM barrel, but going on the stock length one, it should run like a top once I have the time to fit it right.
They are solid guns. You have nothing to fear.
