in 50 AE. One of the gun writers, Gary Paul Johnston I think, did a big article on our Lucifer saying we were the first to put the cartridge in a revolver. We built 50 of the 50 AEs. It was a great handgun as long as you used factory ammo. The Israelis had IMI ammo out in the 50 AE. In the factory ammo at that time the bullet was glued into the case so they didn't need a very strong taper crimp. But handloading was another thing. To put a real good taper crimp on it to keep the bullet from jumping the case it was easy to do too much of a crimp and the whole round drop too far into the cylinder, not catching on the inner lip that it headspaces on. In all the Lucifer's we built in Florida and a couple out here, I have never seen one on the used market.
