Butler. We sold a lot of the Colt copies by Butler in the late 80s at our shop in Florida. In singles and the dual sets.

I had an original once and it must have been quite a racket maker in the original BP loading. I'm certain the velocity was more in the BB gun category but who wanted a nasty BP propelled, greasy heeled bullet, in their intestines with pocket lint and who knows what else all over it?! In the pre-penicillin days too!

I currently have one of these novelty .22 shorts in poor shape, all the "paint" has rubbed off the zinc cast barrel and bore. It does fire though!

I do not know where Colt had these fabricated but I'd bet the Astra Spain connection may have a play in it.

The model 3 guns in 41 Rimfire will bring big bucks. I have seen them go for $3000 or more in really good condition and the Lord & Lady pair go for nearly $15,000. They were the original "muff guns", meant for ladies to carry in their muffs, and before our resident pervert WB gets all excited about that, their muffs were the fur lined tubes they wore around their necks and put their hands in when out in cold weather. Gamblers also carried them and if necessary would shoot under the table and hit the card shark in the nutz with that 41 caliber black powder round.
