and never had any problems.It looks like crap but works. I have them in green, red and this one in the glow in the dark mixture. If you go with a cap over the original sight blade it will probably shoot real low. If you cut a dovetail into the slide you would probably hit into the bushing. So your options are few on the PD. These modifications of the PD front and rear sight are mickey mouse but they work and I can mix up some of the sight insert mixture and change them when I need to.
Here is my PD I keep by the bed with the glow in the dark blob in the front sight.

On Colleen's PD I drilled a small hole in the front sight and put a dab of the glow in the dark liquid in it.

then I drilled two small holes in her rear sight (she has the newer model of PD with the solid type rear sight) and put some of the glow in the dark liquid in the 2 holes.
