Reeder Custom Guns - Added to my Ruger collection this last week.

I purchased 3 Vaquero's Two ar Bisley big frame 44 mag and .357 mag. The other one is a NRA 44-40.

44 mag, she has some milage on her but I got a good price.

On his personal Ruger Bisley Vaquero. It was to be a simple working gun, no outward frills. He went into regulation of the sights and a few slicking up performance mods. All to make it simply shoot accurately and no worries of sights being off etc. It made lots of sense to me. His 100 yd. groups to prove extreme utility were impressive (as you’d expect from a former world champ). A powerful, accurate, fixed sight wheel gun. I like them, both SA and DA.

So what if it kind of locks you into a certain load (bullet wt. and speed), if you do want a switch just note where it hits!

Really nice useable investment working guns!

I like 25-100 yard gongs. Love hearing the lead hit the steel. My 45 was money out of the box. 200 grain cowboy loads touching at 25.

LOL, I guess most of the good ones are. He was the World PPC Champ I believe in 1979-80?

His articles were gold to me, offbeat and new, fresh. Blackpowder Howdah's, Ultra-magnum wheelguns, obscure antiques, custom rifles I had never heard of and techniques that were over the top. He made a rifle and shot it at a mile to see if it was practical. I could hardly wait till the next issue. The tech references are still things I refer to and use.
