the really big problem is "compressed" loads like 110/296, AA#9 or AA1680 etc. They are much more difficult to ignite. Not much air space as the granules are so small and tightly packed. Add even a little air space and things help. But some powders need a hotter primer. Remember fire needs fuel, and air to ignite.
Times like these, Unique etc. loads twice as many rounds per pound. Power is almost up to the "Ruger" level in manuals.
