Usually are and they generally don’t hurt. But good to talk price down. I fixed my .401, they usually are worse. $350 is a good deal if it’s original and no extra holes drilled in it. Factory usually came with two for a tang site. Also retraction got altered butt pads. $300 is cool for a shooter.
Collector specimens can fetch $1000-1500 depending on unique factors. Out of my wheelhouse. I sold mine for $425. The .401 usually fetches $150-200 more than the .351. They made .351 rifles up to 1957!
