I have been hoping for some relief in traveling

to Africa in May but that was dashed today when South Africa posted a total lock down. I figured I was whistling up a duck's ass anyway but had my fingers crossed. With all the people dying here and in Europe even thinking of an end to this mess anytime soon was ludicrous. I was just hoping for some good news for the 10 guys going with me. Good Lord willing maybe by the end of summer things will have eased down. Either that or things will have escalated so much that Africa will be the least of our worries.

Sorry to hear that

I believe this will pass in a few months similar to what happened with SARS, MERS and H1N1. Unfortunately, that's not going to be much consolation for those affected or who die. It will be back but by then we may have vaccines and antivirals developed.

I was planning on going to Africa the end of May

and as I prayed about it I felt a distinct "No" about going. I put off applying for a visa and can see why now. I wish I had that happen ... and that I listened to it ... more in my life.

As you said, going someplace may be the least of our worries in a couple months. I mean, look at all the changes just a week or two has brought.

Well done Jim.
