Since we mentioned diabolical nuisances loading

I've got one. Back in the Obammy days remember the primer shortage? When you'd snatch up anything you could get? I got a pretty fair deal on several thousand of these made by PMC. I was told they were special made for indoor range uses. The small pistol did fine. Problems arose when I got to the Large Pistol. Not sure if defective, degraded or what.

I have gotten many squibs. It seems it cannot effectively ignite the powder. I've tried several powders and have had the most issues in .45 Colt and .45 ACP. Very inconsistent. You'd think it would either ignite the powder or not, it's not the case. Some fire normally and others maybe 200 fps? I've seen them barely punt the projectile out the bore! There must be some need for a certain amount of powder to be initially ignited for it to continue to burn at a consistent rate. So I have been experimenting with different powders to somehow salvage the use of these resources. HERCO was not successful. If I can find some BULLSEYE, that's my last hope. You can load 1000 .45 Colt from a pound of Bullseye, 1500-1700 .45/9mm, and where it's often maligned for double charges, that's up to the dummy doing the loading. Plus it can be wonderfully used in about anything smaller, great semi-auto powder.

To make matters worse I shared the find with some of my other friends. With the most honorable friendly intentions. I can only hope they found some functional use for them or did not have the issues I did.

I took inventory today of my primer stash of all types. I think I may restock a little while I can.
