Got one, oh boy is it rough! Compared to a stock, off the shelf Blackhawk it takes a man and waterboy to pull the trigger! I’ve been studying it for an hour or so and think I can get it up to stock Ruger standards but not even close to Gary’s work! Any helpful suggestions or tips to make it sing?

I picked up one that needed work ..

trigger was horrible. They have a funky transfer bar system. I turned the back off the cylinder as I don't like recessed cartridges on a sixgun. Too easy for crap to get in there and keep a cartridge from seating. I also took the massive amount of writing off the barrel. Not sure why they printed a whole book on there.

The sixgun itself seems to be a strong one ... large frame and cylinder. The one I had was in .357 so it was heavy. I got it running pretty well and gave it to a good friend who is a missionary and who oversees Disaster Relief. He sent me a picture of his wife shooting it a couple days ago.

Going to play with the trigger and transfer bar.

It is real rough and you can see lots of contact on the transfer bar. Slick it up and maybe see if I can get it to 8 versus 15 pound trigger pull! Writing is minimal and is under the barrel where it can’t be seen. All in all, a good looking .45!
