The "Hunter's Eye" amazes me. For someone so basically sight impaired, yet I can spot a cottontail 200 yds. away hopping around. Sometimes traveling on the freeway I exclaim to the passenger "did you see that big Redtail Hawk?" What? "In that white Oak to the left about 50 yds. A Big one!" Or sometimes deer or turkey half a mile away out in a field. I can barely see to get around mostly, but I have the "hunter's eye" to make things out that are not normally there, even in an area I've never previously been in. At HHC I've even noticed a rock or log that had an ear!
Three weeks I thought this little pair were long in tacos. They went missing. Some dwarf sized goats a friend gave me and I placed in a water company enclosure to eat the vines and grass. They lasted only about 12 hrs. and were simply gone. I got word they were in a nearby park by some bluffs. Three days I've been going down and leaving out feed, getting them used to me. Today I got some para cord and put my Weblo skills to good use (That's between Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts proper Weblo's). I made a foot snare and baited it. I caught the brown female who bleated loudly, exciting her little mate. I tied a noose around her and literally carried her some 300 yds. to the Water Plant enclosure. I had to rest every 50 yds. and let the other little one catch up, smell his girlfriend, so he'd follow. Wore my butt flat out, only 25 lbs. but wiggly, bleating, 25 lbs. You can only get within about 10 ft. from them normally. I wish I had some roping skills! They are inside now and I plan on relocating them and making them a nice little place.
I found them this morning. Hard to see if they are just laying down not moving. But like many of you guys, I have that Hunter's Eye!

There is the little black one atop the bluff overlooking the Little Red River, the brown one is almost invisible. About a 60 ft. drop.

I'm all goaty and wrangled out for the day!
