for Brian T. you asked about what wood cook stove

the bottom one looks like the stove on the farm I was on in the 1940's. It was cast iron and what I called a two mom stove, big enough for two of our moms to cook at the same time. Me and the owners son got up early each morning to split wood and feed the stove, there was also the hot water boiler attached. We would have some breakfast and go on to milking the cows, etc It got me out of the city and I swear the farm cured my bronchial asthma !
