Highlight some roll marks, is the procedure the same, clean, paint and wipe off with thinner, or will that simply smear into the rougher finish surface and make a real mess? Thank you.

Can get fine point paint pens in craft and hobby shops

for the inlay to go down in there and stay. I use 18 caret
sterling silver dust mixed with a 2 part epoxy and that usually stays in pretty well. Some engravers use India ink in the engraving but these harsh cleaners will take that out. If the finish is too rough then the silver or gold dust will get in the pores and be hard to get out. If it is really smooth then it will work. I haven't tried the "crayon" type inletting so I don't know about that.

Thank you
