We had the gun pretty much finished and found one small inner part that wasn't quite right so we ordered a new part.It took forever to get here but we finally finished it this afternoon. One of my all time favorite 45s is the AMT Longslide. And this one is just as accurate as any 45.

I need to find one of those longslides for you to work your magic on.
One beautiful pistol and a great shooter. Best of luck.

I am glad I did not see it last night.I would not have been able to sleep. I would have been thinking of Hunting all night long. Thank you Gary and all the talented people there. You keep raising the bar on my builds. I almost can't wait for the next one except they are so worth the wait!!!
AMT's are rough, an ugly duckling. But

boy did that change things! They are very solid and well made shooters, often overlooked, they just need some finishing. That changed my attitude for sure.

the years. There weren't very many of them made. I have only seen 4 I think and we customized 2 of those.
I have a Javelina and they are ROUGH on the outside

The insides are so-so but can really benefit from some personal attention. They are rare but not really collectable. Many 1911 shooters shun them based on looks and not being familiar with the make. They are shooters, unless its unfired new in the box.
That rework really brings out the potential!
you must have a late Friday afternoon gun. My

Javelina is smooth as silk on the outside, a slight gritty feel when you pull the slide back slowly. But that is typical stainless steel. Without a bit of gun grease under the slide they all feel a bit gritty when new.
