While being home for 3 weeks I have been working on pour over coffee. I use a 16:1 ratio, 25 grams coffee to 400 grams of water. Makes a perfect cup, 2 actually, that ratio yields about 16 oz of finished product. No grounds in the bottom of the cup either. Beats a Keurig all to hell.
we have a Keurig in each of our buildings and have

never had any grounds in our cups. Plus they make great coffee without all the BS of measuring and the ratio of water to grounds etc. 30 seconds and you have a great cup of coffee. If it wasn't I wouldn't drink 10 cups a day.
Gary I have to ask.... what do your doctors say about you

Drinking 10 cups of coffee a day? Holy chrome Batman!
I have cut back quite a bit. When I was in radio I had

the morning show and the fellow that had the midnight to 5 shift knew to have our coffee urn (it was one of the big stainless 30 cup models) with fresh coffee in the control room when I got there. I was program director and then ops manager and there was seldom during the day that I didn't have a cup of coffee in my hand.
A couple of years ago I had some weird stuff going on with my heart. My Doctor told me to get off regular coffee and go to decaf and I did. No problems since then. We also have a Keurig at home and Colleen drinks about as much as I do, except hers is hi test where mine is decaf. To be honest I can't tell the difference in the 2.

secret is the size of the mug you use. I have 3 mugs in the morning that translates into a 10 cup pot!
on the Keurig it is listed as Tea Cup, regular cup and mug.

I use the regular cup size, whatever that is.
Ours offers 4oz, 6oz, 8oz, or 10oz.

how it was shown. Ours shows 4 different cups, from a small tea cup to a large mug. I use the large cup, not the mug. That would be the 8 oz.
Like Gary I swear by my Keurig.

I was, for a while, in this coffee club. It was kind of fun but a scam. Kind of like getting 24 8-track tapes for 1 penny when you join a music club. Remember those? Anyway I got to try some different coffee, most bad but one I really liked.
Costa Rica Pea-Berry, really tasty, you might give it a try. I've always liked Hawaiian Kona too.
We were in Florida and our normal coffee tasted like crap. It was the local water. Really hard water from well aquifers and laden with trace minerals. (it's my business to notice stuff like that) It was making the coffee really nasty and nothing to do, you can try to add a little salt to the top of the granules in the pot before brewing but that only made it worse. We tried a couple other brands and finally found one that helped. "Dunkin Doughnuts" the normal classic stuff. Really good and it's available about everywhere. I really like it. I drink mine black with sugar, my wife makes a candy-bar our of hers, the works. It satisfies both of us. Just FYI.
