the barrel itself is usually no problem. The

problem is that underlug bracket that holds the ball rammer down. That had to be welded onto the bottom of the barrel and has to be exactly the right dimension and size. With that and adding a front sight to it and refinishing it, you end up spending about what you would for a new gun. I don't know anyone that is not over a year behind that would tackle the job.
