Hello All:

Currently I am working at home constructing online assignments for my class.

Before all of this mess we were reading the Nora Zeale Hurston novel,Their Eyes were Watching God.

I never thought I'd kind of get into it but it was pretty good. I took place in old time Florida of 100 years or more ago. So that brought back some fine memories of my Mom and Dad and our vacations to Florida.

On one I recall swamp cabbage.

Out of curiosity, anyone here ever ate swamp cabbage? Oddly I kind of liked it.

If you are talking about swamo

Cabbage palm yes. We had it frequently when I lived in Florida in the 50's. When you are hungry it's very good! There is another swamp cabbage indigineous to asia/india that is actually a green leafy plant they use there for "medicinal"purposes. I have seen it but not eaten it.

Swamp not Swamo
