He asked what panic buying. He had no ideas what I was talking about. Instead of having the normal 35 or 40 handguns in the showcase, we have 6 or 8 guns. I told him I couldn't just get on the phone and order one for him. Our distributors told us most of the manufacturers have one shift working rather than the normal 3 shifts and all the guns are allocated, which keeps the large gun shops from buying all the guns. He again had no idea what I was talking about, so he left probably thinking we were a shitty excuse for a gun shop.
The other group wanted certain brands of 9mm and 40 caliber JHPs. I told him we were lucky to have any 9mm and 40 ammo. Like the other numbnuts, he asked why. And like the other guy he had no idea there was a rush on ammo and guns plus reloading gear. He too left not too happy.
I don't know where the young people hang out where there are no TVs or computers or smart phones, and how they can't know about the panic buying of just about everything.
