The 4" skinny, stainless one. Just the barrel. I'm gathering pieces for a project.

Smith's parts department doesn't have any in stock and ebay and gunbroker came up empty.

With an 8 3/8" barrel a year or two ago. Don't know if he hangs on to them or not.

A 624 barrel would be the same?

WHile hte 624 barrel would work fine, it does need mods

the barrel stub is longer on a .44 Special than a .44 Magnum and also the front sight is taller on the .44 Special. It requires some lite lathe work and fitting the cylinder gap precisely. I'd really want a good ramp sight like Gary installs with interchangeable front sight options for height and style.
