In Massachusetts you cannot use conibear ( beaver only with a town permit for a registered complaint) or leg hold traps.

So you have to use a cage trap. I have caught them in the past. I found pheasant heads are a great bait.

If this animal was attacking or damaging your livestock you can shoot it. I chose not to but a lot of people in small towns follow SSS.
