I am just now getting back into reloading. I am using single stage presses. I had an electronic scale that's now on the fritz. Considering an electronic dispenser type scale. Just wondering if any of you are using one and have any opinions?
Electronic, not eketronic!

The 10 year old or older RCBS is the best I have used, I keep an eye out for them thinking I may need to replace it one day and will pay or have to pay what they cost then or more, The other brands auto dispensers are POOP My opinion

Have used an RCBS Uniflow Measure and 505 Scale so long, doubt I could survive the change.
Scale. Read too many negatives on dispensers.

I’ve not had any problems. I always double check against a beam scale periodically and it’s been right on for the 3 or 4 years I’ve owned it.
I will say I’ve been going back to the uniflow more and more. It’s faster and just as accurate.
I use an electronic scale

There are some things to watch for when using an electronic scale. Any breeze can disrupt and static electricity will disrupt. Temperature changes can affect the reading. I used my balance beam to verify until i figured out a few things. That was right around the year 2000. I got a new electronic scale a few years ago, and they are much faster now than they were 20 years ago.
just make sure and get one that weighs up to 1000 grains.

There will come a time when you will need to weigh something that weighs more than 500 grains. I use the RCBS 2000 scale that weighs up to 2000 grains. There are a bunch of really good ones out there but I would go with a brand name. I like RCBS as if anything goes wrong they will replace it no charge.
I don't care for the measure/powder dispenser

combo. They are usually good but in the time it takes to dispense one load of powder into the pan I can drop powder from my Uniflow powder dispenser in 25 cases. Plus the deluxe Lyman I bought required you to take the thing apart after each powder dispensing to make sure there weren't any powder flakes down in the crevices and to clean the hopper that holds the powder. I reload every night of the week for the next days test firing so I don't have time to do all that. I just stay with the RCBS Uniflow powder dispenser and the RCBS 2000 scale.
I just ordered a Lyman Gen 6 combo. I will

If I could find an older 505 I'd buy it. The 5-10 sccale I have is really temperamental, maybe due to the very light base. I like to weigh every 10th load for my pistols and every load for my rifles. I have three powder measures a Uniflow, an old Ideal and a lee perfect. The lee is stiff and sticky to operate so I have taken it out of service. I will look at some of the electronic scsles.
