Yesterday I continued testing the Killebrew bullet in the 480 Achilles. The last loads I used were with 12 gr. 2400 for around 870 fps. Yesterday I was using a heavy load (for this gun) of WC820 .. Military Surplus H110. These loads were closer to 960 fps and are as heavy as I want to try.

I shot using a two-hand hold on a pistol rest that was sitting on the hood of my truck.

While looking for something else I found the original Bitner bullet you gave me way back then. Here it is next to another heeled bullet pulled from a dud Remington cartridge I picked up somewhere.

Jim,
I purchased and downloaded "A NEW CARTRIDGE IS BORN: The 480 Achilles". Didn't see anything in it that I haven't already read, but it is nice having it all in one location and mobile (It is on my tablet).
When I was spec'ing out my Target Bisley build, the 480 Achilles was on the possible cartridge list...for about 2 seconds.

Thank Alan ..
