Barrels today. Very Nice, thanks much. I think I will use one or the other for a Bison this fall at the HHC. I just bought a second freezer for the meat.
go with the 445 for Bison.

bullet. I would tell you to use one of the 250 grain Sierra silhouette bullets but the bullets are hard to find plus you have to get a bit closer to them at around 65 or 75 yards as you have a 2" square spot to put the bullet for a good kill.
Thanks for the info I will get some 280's

The 270gr. Speer is softer than the 265gr. Hornady.
Well, they are pretty hard and plenty good for a bison and

I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to use them on anything in North America. I've used them on 400-500 pound hogs to great effect and it takes a bit to even get them to expand a little so you have to push them.
In my humble opinion the 265 grain soft point by

Hornady is the best 44 caliber big or dangerous game bullet ever made. I have used it in 44 mag revolvers, 44 Auto Mags and Contenders on Bison, Water Buffalo, Nilgai, and other big critters and I don't remember ever having to take a second shot if I did my part right.
