a magazine for a Ruger Deerfield 77/44 with a capacity greater than the 4 round standard magazine? It will most likely be from a specialty shop (????? Gary ?????) LOL.. A 10 round semi auto .44 mag would be an awesome hog buster in the brush and thickets in South Georgia and South Alabama.

Maybe an adapter that accepts a Desert Eagle magazine?

doesn't the 77/44 have a rotary mag? If so, you are S.O.L.

I think it uses S&W auto mags? Like a M59 etc.

I'd like one in .45 they used to make. Did the .45 use 1911 mags?

Camp 45 does use the 1911 mag. I have the M59 to go with

the camp 9 too. That one I have shot. Like the combo of pistol and carbine. Have combos in 10mm and .40.

Yes, that is why I asked on here first.

Round magazine. I have two of the older ones now. Handy little carbine.

I will post on here what I find out.

those interested, a large sounder of hogs does not give you much time to fumble around with 4 round magazines. They will be gone by the time you can pull the empty magazine and reload another one. More rounds is good. I carry a 44 redhawk and the carbine. That is 10 shots faster than reloading the carbine 3 times in order to get in at least 10 shots.

I've never understood

Why anyone would want to take a slick handling carbine like this one And several others along the same lines, and have a long stub of a magazine sticking out the bottom. For me at least it is so much easier to carry extra loaded magazines in my jacket pocket. I always remember what Texas Ranger Frank Hamer said when someone questioned him about carrying a Colt SAA .45 loaded with five rounds and no backup rounds. His reply was if he couldn't get it done with five rounds he was guilty of sloppy peace officering. I think that applies in other situations.

I agree.

mode of carrying too, but not sure on the knife. Personally I would rather go to a dentist than get into a knife fight. And dentists are right up there with lawyers. When we finish one or more of our custom knives and it's time to engrave the logos etc, I always dread it as I always slice myself.

I've always said that

in a defensive situation that if you need more than the 5-6 rounds in your revolver, or 7+ in your semi-auto, you don't need more ammo, you need help.

I carry 5 rounds in my Star PD. I figure if I need more

I can change mags fairly quick. I carry an extra mag in a knife pouch on my belt. That gives me 10 rounds. If I need more than that I should never have jumped in this ball game to start with.

Not as slick nor as powerful..,

But there are several AR platform rugs that are 10mm using Glock mags. The hot 230 gr. Loading at 1200-1300 fps should do the trick. I have a cute little AR 9mm for pleasure shooting and it’s a literal blast.

Some years ago a company was converting the .30 M-1 into a .45 Win. mag. Carbine.

A 10 mm could never ever be a replacement for a 44 magnum.

I only want one for fun at the range no other reason. When I hunt with mine only three go in and three in my pocket. We only have a limit of six deer. LOL

I think a 10 carbine would b close to 44 Revover, 4 hogs

Most blow back systems you can’t monkey too much with loads or it may open too fast! Bad-ju-ju

we have a 10mm carbine in stock. It is the Thereon

Defense 10 mm. It uses Glock mags. It retails for around $1250. We have it somewhere around $800 give or take. Shoots like crazy, as quick as you can pull the trigger.

for more info it is on the in stock list. Kase shot a huge hog on the Hot & Nasty hunt in Texas with the prototype of the Ultimate 10 back in '07. The 10mm bullets hit the hog in a Texas Heart Shot and ended up under the hide of the chest.
This would be a great hog gun

That’s a great deal and rig, 10mm blaster.
