Kinda liking that trail gun in 9mm. Don't remember seeing that one before.

It's one of the better choices of calibers. Also, you can...

Add a 38 Super Cylinder if you want.

Little more velocity?

It actually has a bit of a rim, so very forgiving on crimp, etc.

I'm going to try the same with the 9mm. But, the joy of it is cheap ammo. Hard to make that case right now. Think we'll get back there...

I would have figured the 9mm a tough one for GNR

With all sorts of domestic and foreign ammo out there. The 9mm is pretty tapered and one would worry about it backing out if it did not grip the chamber walls with fast expansive pressure. The problem is the case propelling against the frame and then expanding to lock it in place. A locked up cylinder.

It must be totally unfounded and I admit on my Ruger cylinder'd Blackhawk it indeed works fine. Accurate too, however I cannot explain why, such a enormous bullet jump to the barrel throat.

I ALMOST got my Trail gun done in .38 Super. The perfect answer to the max power for the Single Six chassis. But the shorty .40 in the same vein and frugality won out. It's the American way, a little bigger is better, right?! .400" 155's at 1350 fps and 180's at 1265 fps, seated out long, and loaded to full 10mm specs. An easy load for he 6" gun.

Ditto on the 40 S&W and 10mm. I had the first two of those Gary built for sale. If doing over, I'd just do a dual cylinder gun.

But, both are so finely crafted, I just can't part with either.

we have built several of the 9mm Trail Guns and never
