handle the hot loads without opening up. They say the new SSK50 is an exact copy of the 1967 first generation Contenders. If so that may well be their problem. The first generation of the Contender I bought in '68 would not even handle the 44 Magnum. If they were planning to release a copy of the Contender they should have copied the much newer version that was in the 400,000 serial number range. That one was stronger. Stuck at home so lots of dumb ideas going thru my head. This may be one of them.
