The season for bobcat hunting runs December to March 8th or 9th. So they are off the hit list, so to speak.
So you’re not the only one doing some scouting

We have been at it since the first week in March! All we hunt is public land. Never seen it this bad. So many people it’s not enjoyable or safe. Had two shout out from in front of me. One I had shot whizzing by me. Everyone is off work and out of school. Fewest turkeys I’ve seen in 30 years of doing this and more people than ever hunting them.

Massachusetts opens up Monday the 27th and runs to Saturday May 23rd but no Sunday hunting allowed. The limit is two bearded birds. Shotgun or archery only. Crossbow if you have a handicap permit.
Wednesday the state of Connecticut opens up and goes to May 30th. You can take up to five birds. You can use a shotgun or any type of archery. I plan to use my crossbow for this state.
I do agree with your observations. With all of the shutdowns more and more people are in the woods than ever.
Don't laugh but tomorrow we may have a dusting of snow. High temperature will be 38 F. So it will be like hunting deer in November for me.
Good luck tomorrow!

I would love to make a turkey hunt in the Northeast. Have thought about Vermont or New Hampshire. Maybe they year. I love it. Our season ends Friday.
Both states have good populations

But it is on the decline in many parts of our state and the number of turkey hunters has increased dramatically over the past few years. Thank social media again. It is now the cool thing! Anyway, I could get on a soap box about it but... looking to try some different states. Again, good luck tomorrow and post some pic if successful.
