he was shooting a Kimber 9mm .. Winchester FMJ's .. and had one round that did not go off. He snapped the hammer on it again but it did not fire.

I brought it home and pulled it apart.

Powder charge was fine. Primer looked funny.

Apparently no priming charge in the cup. No smoke on the anvil, in the cup or in the primer pocket. It happens sometimes I guess.

Would suck in a shoot out...

with the primer in backwards. That doesn't work too well, either.
