In high school I would go to the gun shop on Friday (game day) with my dad on days of home games, if they were away games we’d head in on Saturday. I’d sit for hours looking at everything on the rack, carefully studying everything on the shelves, talking to the owner. When I got into college I would stop in every chance I could when I would come home. It was part of growing up, conversing with the owner and locals, hearing the latest greatest, and wishing I had one of each of everything. Sad that things happen the way they do and Saturday sales are on hold. It’s like living in the yesteryears , I’ve purchased a few things, but the excitement of heading to the virtual gun store to see what is there. I still want one of each, but it is fun., a simple pleasure in life. Window shopping and dreaming. Reading about you guys and your memories and the respect that is here. I sure enjoy following this forum. Be well all.
I was just talking to my old friend from way back I call

Every year on this day. He now lives in Florida and has retired LEO. We both started in the same job after high school and he really got me into guns and gun shows. If anyone here is from Northern Ohio you may remember John Boyle's Gun Shop and Shelby Estep's Shell's Gun & Archery Farm. We did a lot of shooting at their outdoor ranges and bought a lot of guns from them. My first Marlin .22, Ruger .22 Single-Six, First-Generation Colt SAA .38-40, the first Second-Generation .45 SAA to arrive in that area, Ruger .357 and .44 Magnum Blackhawks, S & W Highway Patrolman.... And on and on and on. Great Days. It is a different world today and I especially feel sad about the young generation.
Hear! Hear!

Gotten some of those deals myself and lost a few to Huey, mostly. I've long appreciated Gary posting up the good stuff at great prices for us first!
I miss them, too. However I am saving LOTS of money!

I mean, I assume it’s a sale that occurs on Saturday, but I’m hoping for a bit more of an explanation as to what I’ve been missing.
Best,

estates out and always had unusual items for sale. quite often hard to find older rifles and shotguns. I would put these on our Saturday Sale at real good prices and we sold a lot of special items every Saturday. These days no estate sales are coming up so no Saturday Sales.
Sounds dangerous

for my wallet!
Thanks for filling me in. I look forward to things getting back to normal soon.
Are these sales posted online, or do I have to be in Arizona to participate?
Best,
Kiel
