Would Ruger only 44mag loads be safe in one such chambered?
Are you watching the clock to hit post?

Yes, they are plenty strong enough.

The Ruger Only Loads I have are for the extremely strong Redhawk and Super Redhawk. I've also used them in 5-Shot BFRs.
These guns are the same configurations as the company's 454 Casull Revolvers.
The Raging Hunter is not. The same gun is available in 454 Casull, but it's a 5-Shot where the 44 Magnum is a 6-Shot.
I'd recommend staying within standard pressure loads.
I was leaning that way.

454 is a 5 shot cause it runs way more pressure than 44mags

Just be careful. On a 6-Shot Revolver, a pressure sign...

Can be a bulged chamber at the lock notch. That's a finite pressure sign for sure.
if you've done that you really don't want to again!

Gary made me a new cylinder and it is just as accurate

as the old one, if not more accurate. So in the long run things worked out ok.
But, that would be a task on a Taurus Double Action...

Not too bad on a Ruger Blackhawk, LOL...
The stongest RUGER ONLY loads can also be

shot in other revolvers too, not just the Redhawk, SRH or SBH. It includes Dan Wesson, Colt Anaconda and the Raging Bull in 44magnum....all 6 shot DA revolvers. This Raging Hunter is just as strong as the DW, Colt and Raging Bull revolvers and actually uses the same dual lock up cylinder system as the Dan Wessons, for solid lock up when shooting full house loads. If a 6 shot SBH or old Vaquero can take the strongest loads, so should this Raging Hunter. But as mentioned, be prudent and work up your loads as they get up there in power regardless of what revolver you are shooting. Even in my FA83 454 Casull I'm watching for pressure signs and that is the stoutest revolver on the planet tested to over 70K units of pressure and didn't blow. Matter of fact, I don't think they ever blew one up....maybe WB would know????
Saw one blown in half.

Blew the barrel and front of the frame off the gun. Bob Baker had it in his safe.
That took some effort...

the guy who owned the gun said he did not know what happened. Bob and the engineers figured it out .. a really heavy bullet and an overload of powder .. the load squibbed and the bullet stopped just past the throat. Lots of unburned powder in the bore. The next load was fired .. it not only was very high pressure but it also detonated the unburned powder that was left in the bore.
Or something like that. It's been years since he told us the story.
The barrel and the front of the frame parted with the rest of the gun.
Thanks!

The Redhawk and Super Redhawk are the only 6-Shot Revolvers I'd shoot those in.
Others may choose to shoot them in their guns, but not me.
If it can be blown Bob will find out!
