Reeder Custom Guns - What is your go to gun for coyotes? Me prefer

my sons Axis 243 and a shotgun. Really any gun I have with me when out and about or hunting. Just wondering if anyone has a preferred cartridge and platform.

Have been using "El Cheapo" design from Varmint Als site for a call, along with some mouth calls.

The AR platform makes a fine Yo-te' shooter. But I'll grab a turkey shotgun or SKS, .22, snubby .38 whatever.

We have fowl and goats all around the barn. Thick woods are about 100 yds. away.

I've never seen a "derringer" that would place a bullet point on at more than 10 feet. Most tumble the bullet wildly. But that is permissible I guess for the intended purpose.

10-4 on the all you got. Last big Copperhead at night, in the chicken pen, I had a choice of a Ruger 77 in .458 and 500 gr. cast bullets or a M60 S&W snubby w/125 gr. JHP. I used the latter to satisfactory effect.

My go to rig is a 18” AR chambered in 223 Wylde shooting 55 grain Speer. 14” Contender chambered in 257 Raptor.
8” Coyote Classic revolver chambered in 218 Mashburn Bee.
Took this guy last week with a 3” 12 gauge with #4 shot at 30 yards.
