I've never seen a "derringer" that would place a bullet point on at more than 10 feet. Most tumble the bullet wildly. But that is permissible I guess for the intended purpose.

10-4 on the all you got. Last big Copperhead at night, in the chicken pen, I had a choice of a Ruger 77 in .458 and 500 gr. cast bullets or a M60 S&W snubby w/125 gr. JHP. I used the latter to satisfactory effect.
