I've always liked the idea of a full sized SAA .22

In the 60's they made some but pot metal chassis with steel liners for chambers and the barrel. Pretty cobby really.

I know Uberti makes some fine full size chassis guns. Some 6-shot and the 12-shooters really are interesting.

Is there any odd things with the 12 shot?

Are they really heavy, being all that steel and a teeny bore? Part of the charm and feel of the Colt SAA (other than maybe the .32-20) is that lively feel afforded to most of it being a big hole.

Sometimes a good idea runs afoul in application.
