I hunt deer and hogs mostly so it has become my go to gun. Still prefer a scoped revolver for really thick brush but the G2 is just as good in the thick and gives me great conferences on long shots. The 361Falcon is a hammer and is wonderfully accurate. ![[image]](images/uploaded/202005161337195ebfec8f67b70.jpg)

Pleasant to shoot, accurate, easy to load, and easy to carry several rounds for different applications.

From the 250 GNR to the GNRs built on the 348 Win/50 Alaskan covers too much for one favorite.
30 and 7GNR’s. Easy shooting & reloading!

Of the .256 Falcon, in a like manner a handgun performance equal of the .257 Roberts. Both those cartridges are not cannon powerhouses. They just get the job done by allowing the shooter to focus on precision bullet placement. The bullets are well constructed exclusively for hunting.
I do not like the 6.5 (.264 cal.), I’ve just been duped by some spotty bullet performance, personally cursed, in a 7mm guy. There is no sound argument for not saying the same about the .30 GNR. The same performance is there, it’s just in a .308 package. Arguably the .30-30 option in a pinch may even put it ahead of the others.
For really big game on this platform I do not trust myself with the more capacious rounds. You can surpass the capability of the platform. I’ve mixed ammo and it scared me. A 358” bullet on the same .30-30 improved case would do me. GNR has that covered too. I like Blake’s beloved and exotic .366 but you are pretty well locked into two relatively heavy slugs.
