I had one of the first SP 101 revolvers

made by Ruger. It was the short snubnosed barrel with fixed sights.

I carried it often and it was quite accurate. One day I was at the range practicing DA shooting and a bad factory load blew the barrel off.

Ruger replaced it with a new SP 101 but with the 4 1/4" adjustable sight model. I love it. To me it is a powerful "kit gun".
