It’s baby critter time. A scene from work

Today. I walked to the corner of the elevated basins and spied this gaggle with young fuzzies in tow. They are pretty big now. Lots of folks call them sky rats. They do mostly make noise and poop all over, but I like to watch them.

At home we have baby goats all over the place, over a dozen new ones. Only lost two so far (GNR ever try to give a baby critter CPR? Yuck. I tried my best). This rambunctious pack is notably a tough bunch.

I had to work at goat farm the other day , 500 head of nannies, baby goats everywhere, couldn't hear my self think. Came back to load my 4 wheeler, had 10 or so on my trailer, he has 5 Spanish Mastiffs ,all the damn goats were around my pickup, had to chase them on the 4 wheeler and try not to get eaten . I carry a pistol when I go out there I love dogs and would hate to shoot one but if they got on you it wouldn't be good

Those goat dogs think they are the Billy King.

That’s their job to protect those silly nannies! We only have 40 or so. Guard Pony and a few honking African geese. Seems like just yesterday it was 4-5! I have (7) 1 yr. old breeding Nigerian Billies to sell. My wife wants to interrogate any prospective buyer. I need only a couple of Mexicans with American folding money and a pickup truck.

Are those little guys Nigerians?

Did it several times when we raised goats. Had one nanny that gave birth to 4! The smallest one wasn't breathing. My wife took it and cleaned out its nose and mouth and then swung it by the back legs. It started squalling and we took it home and bottle-raised it. Called her Teeny. She became one of the family.

I’m still learning.
