we got an unusual rifle in recently. It is the Enfield P-14

It was U.S. made and is chambered in 303 British. During the early part of the world war the Brits were in a bind for rifles so we began to make them in the Remington and Winchester plant and also in Remington's Eddystone plant. This is one of the Eddystone rifles. It has been sporterized so has no military collector value. The gun had quite a bit of rust on it and had sat in a closet for 40 years. We buffed it down and reblued it. It still has a lot of small pits in it but the main value of the gun is the action. Back in the 80s and 90s the company A-Square made a lot of large caliber rifles on the P-14 action. Mainly because it is such a beefy and strong action. Calibers like 500 Jeffery, 404 Jeffery, 450/400, 470 Capstick and more. I looked on the internet and found 2 of the actions, both in the $450 to $500 range, just for the action.
This gun is not pretty by any stretch of the imagination but the bore is good and for those that like the 303 British round it would make a good hunting rifle, or if you just want an old classic military rifle. But the main feature of the gun is the action. If any of you have ever wanted a large African caliber rifle without spending a fortune, this is the gun for you. I have it priced at $350 plus shipping.
