the thumb joint?

Wow does that hurt. I made a fire starting video and was collecting some white birch bark. I should have looked better when I scrunched some up.

I knew exactly what happened when I felt the white hot needle pain go into the joint of my thumb. No blood but I saw one singular puncture mark.

I went to the vehicle and put a hot tea bag on it. Yes I had a cup of hot green tea in the console.

Believe it or not it still hurts like hell a few hours later. Like someone hit it with a hammer.

Depends on the type of bug.

Red Wasps, even Hornets (got stung twice), ground wasps, hurt me for about 30 minutes. Well.. the Hornets lasted a bit longer as it swelled up pretty good, then itched.

But let me get hit by a little Yellow Jacket! THAT hurts me for 2-3 days! You roll along zippy-doo-dah and then they are all over you! They nest in the ground and it's not uncommon to step right into a wad. If a person was seriously allergic to stings it could surely kill them.

You know they sell small packs of live bees, not wasps, to purpose sting yourself at joints for arthritic relief! Look it up. But as you found NOT a wasp.

My thumb still aches and itches.
