Function? I mean totally, and the data? A hammer into bits? Fire? Water? Asking for a friend...
Don't use one. Therefore there is nothing to track

Terminate all tracking and data. It’s tricky. I’d figure you’d need to move it someplace else. In the movies they stick it in a strangers vehicle to lead it away. Lol

This little scan box on them. I noticed SIG for one is using them. Built into the gun for some type of scanning? What’s up with that?

There are two ways that they can track your cell phone. 1) they use an application (app) that you install or they install on your phone during an update or you get from the app store. 2) they use the SIM card in your cell phone to track its location from the cell towers that you are around. If you want to now be tracked, TURN OFF the device first. Then pull out the SIM Card and the battery. This will render the device useless until you reinsert battery and SIM card. The other thing is do not install the apps in the first place, but if they really want to track you, ya gotta shut it down.

have it initialized by the carrier in order for the phone to work. There are ways to "jailbreak" the phone but I really do not want to go into them on Gary's forum.
Does it really shut down though?

You’d think to totally destroy it with a sledge hammer it would terminate.
if you take the SIM card and battery out
