the Victory model hasn't been the best seller for S&W

As far as the flat nose, we have run it thru probably 20 different models of 22 rifles and never had even one failure to feed. As WB mentioned it is the angle of the feed ramp that causes the failure to feed not the ammo. Most of our original testing was done with the Ruger 10-22 and never had even one failure to feed. I ran some ammo thru several of my 22 autos and all went fine. That included the Browning Buckmark Bullseye, the High Standard Supermatic, S&W model 41, Colt Ace, Peters Stahl 22, and several others. I think the Victory model wasn't given a lot of thought before it was released. Like John Taffin said we have had problems keeping scopes on the guns. And that is a very small item that should have been taken care of before it left the factory.
