gun they can find, plus all the magazines, and as much ammo as they can and so on. They have just started buying reloading gear. Primers are getting in short supply. California folks are coming over here (4 hour drive) and buying ammo, magazines, everything they can't get in California. They don't say they are from California but I have overheard them talking plus a California license plate on their cars are a pretty good hint as to where they are from.
Normally we carry a couple hundred magazines in stock. I think we have maybe 20 now. All the Magpul mags went out days ago. Absolutely nutz.
Same at my shop this morning...

3 of my go to LGS have long lines. Waits to shoot at the 2 indoor ranges here. And....the sheep don’t understand when the sales people say they can’t get that in Commifornia!
On a happy note, I did rattle off 6 rounds of 28Nosler in my Christensen Ridgeline in the range this morning. The sheep with all their tacticool stuff all screamed and wet themselves! Fun stuff!
we are not packed to the walls but do have at least

a couple thousand rounds of 9mm and 45 ACP in stock. A little low on 40 S&W but don't get a lot of call for it. Plenty of 22 LR and 22 Mag also. Plus as many boxes of the 9mm and 45 ammo shown in our back room if we run out up front. Mainly we have a limit of 2 boxes and no bulk ammo sold, so this way everyone gets some ammo. This is the 9mm and 45 section.

And part of the 223/5.56 ammo rack. The 7.62X39 is a good deal as it is 40 rounds (2 boxes) for $12.95 or $6.50 for 20 which is a pretty good deal for plinking ammo.

Shelves here are bare or nearly bare. A good example of why.

We should own guns of several calibers and keep ammo hoarded back.
9mm is none existing here. Seen a couple boxes of 40 and some 45 ACP.
380 is another one that guys are SOL on.

who sold us his 1911 and some ammo. Most people have never heard of Zombie ammo. With the type crowd we were expecting to hit the gun shop a few nights ago I should have had my 1911s loaded up with that ammo.
Same here in FL, High Noon Guns has 3 stores:

Venice, Sarasota & Bradenton. I frequent all 3 on a weekly basis. They are selling 30-40 self defense weapons per day. i.e.: ARs, Semi-auto pistols (all makes they stock: S&W, Taurus, Ruger, Walther, Sig Sauer, Glock, etc.), ammo, mags, soft/hard gun cases, range bags, range memberships, etc.
display are empty one day, new shipments in the next. I have sold 15 of my older pistols, ARs, and some ammo on consignment in the last two weeks. A $400 AR is selling for $950 used.
Lines are out the door at store open time (10am).
And since the riots started customers are frantic, arguments with each other, etc. Yep, times are a changing...
Most are pissed about 10-12 hour waiting times

on 4473 call backs, 3-day wait w/o a CCW here and lack of ammo for the gun(s) they buy. Ordered firearm shipments are real slow getting to the FFL of choice. On and on...
I stocked up on my ammo of choice back in Jan.- March of this year. Also, reloading supplies: powder, primers, bullets. Already have lots of brass. Most online sources are "Out of Stock". Pity some of the older folks who show up unprepared, lots of the over 60 crowd here in FL.
Big online retailers are nearly sold out!

I thought Walmart quit selling guns and ammo

No ARs and I prefer my LGS, but they sell a lot of guns.

There is some 223/556 but it is like hens teeth.
People are afraid of what all of this social mess will turn into.
