Semi-autos are mass produced at very favored cost. Revolvers begin at the little Heritage SA guns that do work then jump a good bit to the Ruger Wrangler, Taurus line, then S&W. With the advent of the Wrangler I'd not even consider anything else at that price point. They really need to issue a WMR version with more chambers.
I have several rimfire revolvers but it seems I tend to carry a little M63 S&W Kit gun stainless. At some times of the year it is illegal to carry a centerfire handgun in the woods. The state Game & Fish laws have blurred with the invent of the CCL in Arkansas for self protection.

I probably shoot the K22 more than the Ruger. Great guns, both. It is hard to beat a .22 LR revolver.

Is fantastic for target shooting and would be great for scoping. But if it had a shorter barrel I’d likely shoot it more.
I always wanted a Dan Wesson V-22. They seemed to be the ideal .22 revolver. Wish they would start them up again.

I carry a little 8 shot S&W Airlite in my pocket sometimes and lots of target shooting with a K-22 with six inch barrel. Ruger Single Six convertible sometimes. The little Airlite is lighter than most wallets and shoots very well for its size. Rarely shoot varmints or feral cats and dogs with a 22 revolver any more. Usually my K-32 serves that purpose.
K 32 you are living right!

I bought it used in Baton Rouge at a pawn shop back in the middle 1960s. It had been well taken care of and appeared to have been shot very little. I have always loved it and enjoy shooting it. Nice little cartridge and good weapon to shoot it in.
Sweet!

A K-32 has eluded me all these years. Saw one at a gun show a couple years ago that a dealer friend had just gotten in, but it was already spoken for with a phone call about 90 seconds after he got it.
What about the Ruger Wrangler?

If I'm off in the woods around the house it is either a SBH 41 mag or my ultimate 41. Bears and hogs venture on the property butted up against the Ouachita national forest.

been my favorite squirrel hunting handgun for the last 37 years. It hates every hyper velocity ammo I’ve fired in it, but it loves most standard velocity ammo. For hunting tree rats, I‘ve found Mini Mags are it’s favorite....so I have enough on hand to last me a lifetime or two. I brought it to the 2014 HHC and Gary told me it was set up pretty much like one he had. I’d hate to guess how many squirrels I’ve shot with it through the years, but it’s a lot. In my opinion hunting squirrels with that K-22 has been the best preparation for deer hunting that I can think of. If you can consistently pick off squirrels with a .22 LR handgun, you should have no problem hitting a deer. When deer season rolls around here in Pennsylvania, I pick up my Stealth Hawk in .410 GNR and I hunt deer on our farm in pretty much the same way I hunt squirrels. The K-22 is my first and favorite handgun.
