the shop where I bought my Marlin Mountie last year and he'd bought a collection of OM Rugers all in nice shape. He had a 4 5/8" version priced at 750, 6 1/2" for 700 but went down to 675 quick enough. Just curious what your thoughts were. The action and trigger on the 6.5 were superb...

Shoulda been a ? after price range.

Something is only worth what one is willing to pay for it.

I dicker and I'd leave with it. But personally if it was in excellent shape $550 would be my upper end for a used cared for BH. Pawn shop here has a OM .357 that he wants 750 for and its been there 5 years. Someone did some custom work to it with a Nickle plated cylinder, high polished Blue that looks bluish and jeweled trigger and hammer. He said it was from a local smith back in the eighty's.

Yeah I'd jump on it for $550. I have a nice 45

Bisley I paid 469 for 2 years ago and bought a 45 flattop convertible for 550 over the winter. So 675 is hard to swallow. But, none of my BH's have been as slick as this one either...hard to put a price on a trigger that's already good.

he is about $200 too high. The old models

are nice to have but are not high dollar collectables. There are too many of them out there to be collector's items. Some, like the first edition of 44 Mag Blackhawks and a couple of others bring a fairly high price but most old models are in the $450 price range if in real good condition.

Thanks!
