out different things in folks, People I have known for a good while and thought were strong conservatives are mumbling things like "the police need to be defunded" and "people need to be able to express themselves, even if it is like what is going on in Seattle". A lady whose husband is hard core conservative let slip she had donated to Planned Parenthood. This stress seems to be bringing the bad side of a lot of folks, or at least what I consider a bad side. It makes me think about what I say in front of folks that I thought were really strong conservatives. And with a lot of liberals buying guns these days it makes it even stranger. Probably just me.
Nope it's not just you. There are many

folks I thought were fairly intelligent about general things that are showing their true colors. The tactics of the left to instill fear and uncertainty have finally cracked their nuts. They are wearing masks alone at home and appalled at anyone not complying, then they go to some crowded place like Wal-mart! What in tar-nation!?! If you are so flipping scared stay home locked in your closet. Why go to the most germ infested and nut frequented place on earth?! Seemingly just so you can bitch about it later. Self-quarantine yourself till CNN says it's safe for you to go outside. (good luck with that)
Several folks at church have gone totally looney. I thought they were paying attention in Sunday school and services. I was obviously wrong. This is not the first time the world has gone nuts. We have the recorded history, positive and negative reaction examples too. If you don't know what to think or do, it's all there. Nothing new under the sun.
I paid a little too much but broke down myself. Another 1k rounds of centerfire on the way. Maybe I'm turning too! Just the other way. Stocking up on a bit of food too. I've slowed my target shooting some, I might want it later. Boy have I got some brass! Seems everyone is out shooting, practicing, that's good.
Pressure squeezes out what's really inside.

It's not turning anybody. More like making them show their true colors. As I posted a couple days back, lots of "anti-gun liberals" now make up 40% of gun sales.
So, the swapping sides is working both ways.
I won't get into WB's church conversation too much. Think church is a good idea. But, showing up to a building 90 minutes a week doesn't work for me and never has. Being a Christian is a 24/7 thing. What bench your butt is on doesn't always reflect where your heart is. JMO...
Jesus wasn't a Christian and He never went to church.

I have adopted a philosophy that I first heard from Paul Young. When someone asks me if I am a Christian I reply, "Please tell me what a Christian is and I will let you know if I am one of those."
I am first and foremost a Jesus Follower. I do not care if I am seen as a part of the Christian Religion or not. But I do care that people know that I follow Jesus!
I can certainly AMEN that...

I don't care for the parameters that folks put on my beliefs. Interesting how they can't back them up with scripture, but "know" what I'm supposed to believe and do.
I've adopted the FIDO philosophy. Forget It Move On...

worse, the people that tell me if I am not part of their religion I am going to hell (I tell them to show me in the Bible where there was a Methodist or Baptist or Church of Christ or Southern Missionary Baptist church etc and I will join. They are all man made religions). The other thing is telling me I have to go to church or I am going to hell. Well I have read the bible end to end well over a dozen times and I have yet to see anywhere in there that Jesus is only to be found in a red brick building run by a "minister" with his hand out asking for more and more money who drives a Mercedes. I can go out on my deck in the morning in the cool air with a cup of coffee and amazingly Jesus is there with me.
Amen Gary, that's my experience

What is it you believe is happening in Seattle? I’m curious because I live in Seattle, and I wonder what is being reported.
Thanks.
