About the "church" All the word means is called out

Stephen in Acts 7 spoke of the church in the wilderness ie the children of Israel. Jesus went to the temple and the synagogues.. and he was certainty part of the children of Israel, so I would say he went to an assembly/church. Jesus said he would build HIS church, based on the New Testament with cross to purchase the church. AX20.28
Other names for the church can be body, bride, kingdom...
despite what we have done to it the Jesus is the head of New Testament Church .. and like what was said if all we are doing is pew seating we have missed it any way
