Sorting as was done gives me a headache. But it surely will pay dividends as stated.

An old Indian trick I sometimes use on mostly lesser capacity semi-autos (9 and .40s it works well) is to use a more bulky powder where there is no room for the bullet to be pushed back into. 158 gr./147 gr. 9mm this is easy to accomplish, as are 200 gr. .40 S&W. My Euro 9s love the heavier bullet and really shift the performance in a different direction. It’s like the .38/357 and the classic 125 JHP vs 158 gr. loads.

You can do bulky powder with .45 too but some lower volume powders are so useful in that application to not use more often. FWIW.
