Since you build both, in equivalent guns and scenarios, does a .38 super 1911 get a lighter rated recoil spring than its' 45acp counterpart? Thanks.

no set answer to that. Every gun is different. mainly

you don't want that slide slamming back into the frame and cracking the frame. We order 24" long springs of different poundage and cut a spring to fit each particular gun.
