This sight replaces the Rossi safety. The safety will still function simply by turning the rear sight. The great reminder is when you try to look through the rear sight!

I am not sure what I was thinking of before I hit "Post". It does replace the safety and is adjustable for elevation .. but the safety is not operative.
My error.
Steve Young used to install them in Port Arthur, Tx...

I used to go over there. He did a few guns for me too.
Great guy to deal with and does good work.
May be other smiths installing them..
He now lives in Burnet, TX west of me.

I have been invited over to visit and plan on doing so in the near future. The sight on the Rossi I got from him.
They took lots of damage from Hurricane Rita in 2005...

I'm not sure if that's why he moved or not. I went and picked up my last gun that Fall.
Haven't talked to him since then...
He mentioned that when I spoke with him.

The sights are horrid and it has such a short factory radius. I think she would love the ghost ring and I KNOW I would. I prefer to train to use the hammer safety notch myself. The added manual safety is lost on me.
