in my last Gun Notes I mentioned that I felt the best

home defense was an AR-15. Here is what I had in mind. The new ATI Omni in 223/5.56. Perfect little home defense gun. The magazine holds 60 rounds and is made by Schmeisser in Germany. They have been around for a hundred years or more so they know their stuff. The Omni has a 7" barrel and is the perfect size for home, vehicle or business protection. They are running in the $600 to $650 range, great price for what you are getting. Every one of my guys here are wanting Colleen to get them one. And one will go home with me.

ran perfectly, as quick as you could pull the trigger. ATI has a winner with this one.

How many are you gonna get? Can I get one from you?

probably only get one at a time. Our distributor only gets a few so we get what we can from him.

Friend of mine in Atlanta called me today

also the gun came out in early 2018 and had some

problems. It was pulled from the market, completely revamped and is a good reliable gun now. We checked it out totally, Nate and I both and shot it and has absolutely no problems, no jams, nothing but reliable functioning. So if you see some internet reports from "experts" pay no attention to these morons. And I am not trying to sell you a gun so I have nothing to gain by telling you about this gun. I am getting one of them myself for what that is worth. And 4 of my guys have told Colleen to try to get them one.
The only thing I plan on changing on mine is to add one of the Sig adjustable arm braces. This one adjusts but you have to loosen 2 screws and move the stock to where you want it and tighten the screws. No big deal, but the Sig is quick and easy.

It looks like it will be made in a few calibers?

of our distributors. Really I don't see why they would. No benefit as it is a self defense gun pure and simple and the 223 is perfect for that. Messing with larger or smaller calibers is just asking for headaches. The gun works reliably as it is so why change it?

That's a great find, I picked up a used 7.5/556 to fill the
