go hiking. Then at night sitting around a campfire you decide you might have a rabid chipmunk in the area so you decide to put it back to normal position. Then while taking it back down again the buffer spring flies out and you lose the detent and spring. Now you are screwed and the chipmunk can have his way with you. Or you are hiking out of state and find out half way thru the hike that a folding stock is illegal in that state. OOPS. Now you are really screwed with a capital S.

It may be a good thing but anything that requires one to take the gun apart every time you convert it back and forth you get into a situation where it is just a fuggup waiting to happen. My humble opinion but I believe in Murphy's Law.
